Most people hate math like Algebraic expressions for some reason but if you see and analyze the examples in some books, its easy to understand. That is the reason why I wrote this essay for some people that hates math. Given the equation two x plus five equals thirteen (2x + 5 = 13), here are some steps to solve and we make fun with numbers and symbols throughout this essay.
First, you should know the rules to follow in algebraic expression. Its good that you have a book throughout this essay for you to understand this more. One of this rules to follow is when you transpose a number or a symbol (Note: symbols used in algebraic expression is sometimes letters.), you change the sign of the number or symbol.
Second is to analyze the given problem. Find out what is ask in the given equation. In the given equation (2x + 5 = 13), the missing number substituted by the symbol is x.
Third step is to transpose the number you suppose to transpose. In the given equation (2x + 5 = 13), the number that you suppose to transpose is five to get the number replaced by the symbol x. The five becomes negative five because you transpose it like I said in the second paragraph. The equation now becomes two x = thirteen minus five (2x = 13 - 5).
Next is to solve the whole number then divide it by the coefficient of x. In the equation (2x = 13 - 5), thirteen minus five equals eight divide it by two because the coefficient of x is two. Then you get the value of x which is four.
If you want to check whether you answer is right or wrong, you may substitute the value of x in the equation then solve it. If your answer is wrong, resolve it and compare it with your first solution.
I hope you understand my essay with the topic of algebraic expression and entitled with "Make fun with numbers and symbols".
